Logistics enterprises invest heavily, improve competitiveness

In the context of global economic integration and the boom of e-commerce, the logistics industry in Vietnam is facing both opportunities and challenges. In order not to fall behind and become an important link in the global supply chain, domestic logistics enterprises are actively investing heavily in technology, infrastructure and human resources.

Technology is becoming a key factor helping logistics enterprises improve operational efficiency and competitiveness. Many companies have begun to apply advanced solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and automated warehouse management systems. These technologies not only help optimize operational processes but also reduce costs and improve accuracy in goods management.

For example, AI is used to forecast transportation demand, optimize routes and manage warehouses. Blockchain helps increase transparency and security in the supply chain, while IoT allows real-time tracking of goods. In addition, cooperation between domestic and international logistics enterprises is also being promoted. Through joint ventures and strategic cooperation, Vietnamese companies can access advanced technology and learn management experience from foreign partners. This helps create an efficient and sustainable logistics network, meeting the increasing demands of the market.

Along with technology and infrastructure, high-quality human resources are also an indispensable factor to improve the competitiveness of the logistics industry. Recognizing the importance of the human factor, many businesses have focused on training and developing their staff. In-depth training programs on supply chain management, logistics technology and modern operational skills are being widely deployed.

In addition, universities and training institutions are also working closely with businesses to provide human resources to meet practical requirements. Improving the quality of training not only helps students have better job opportunities but also contributes to improving the competitiveness of the entire industry.

To promote the development of the logistics industry, the Vietnamese Government has also had many support policies. These policies include improving the transport system, reducing administrative procedures and creating favorable conditions for logistics enterprises to develop. In addition, the Government also encourages enterprises to participate in free trade agreements (FTAs) to expand the market and strengthen international cooperation.

With strong investment in technology, infrastructure and human resources, Vietnam’s logistics industry is on the rise. However, to maximize its potential, enterprises need to continue to innovate and improve their competitiveness. Close coordination between enterprises, the Government and training institutions will be the key to bringing Vietnam’s logistics industry to the international level.
