KMOU Graduate School of Global Logistics Visits KCTC VINA: Gaining Real Insights into Vietnam’s Logistics Industry

The Graduate School of Global Logistics at Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU) recently visited KCTC VINA, one of the key logistics companies operating in Vietnam. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the fast-growing logistics market in Vietnam and to explore future cooperation between the university and the company.
The visiting group included Dean Kim Yulseong, along with professors Shin Youngran, Kim Yang Soo, and Kim Hwanseong from KMOU. They observed KCTC VINA’s on-site operations and received presentations about Vietnam’s export and import logistics, port development, and the company’s operational strategy.



Leaders from major Korean logistics and port companies also joined the visit. Participants included
Kim Gyugyoung (CEO, Hanjin Busan Container Terminal),
Kwon Ki Hyun (CEO, Busan New Port Co.),
Kim Myung Soo (Executive Director, KCTC / Busan Branch Manager),
Lee Changhwan (Executive Director, Goryeo Silo Co.), and
Kang Sung Soo (Manager, INK New Port Co.).


Their presence helped create a meaningful exchange of knowledge between Korean industry experts and the local Vietnamese logistics field.
KCTC VINA presented its warehouse management system, port-connected logistics process, digital operation tools, and future development plans. The visitors showed strong interest in KCTC VINA’s customer-focused services and smart operation strategies.


Dean Kim Yulseong said, “Vietnam is a very important strategic location for Korean companies. This visit gave us valuable opportunities to strengthen our global capabilities in education, research, and industry cooperation.”
Industry participants also commented that KCTC VINA’s systematic operations and deep understanding of the market offer an excellent example for Korean companies expanding overseas.



This visit is expected to strengthen future academic-industry cooperation between KMOU and the KCTC Group. Both sides plan to continue discussing joint training programs, field-practice opportunities, and collaborative research.
