Tan Cang Cai Mep Port has signed a cooperation agreement with KCTC Vietnam Limited Liability Company to continue receiving and unloading numerous shipments of oversized and overweight cargo vessels in the Cai Mep region and to provide end-to-end logistics services for factories and businesses in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
In the Cai Mep Industrial Park, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, Tan Cang Cai Mep Port Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Saigon Tan Cang Corporation, and KCTC Vietnam Limited Liability Company (KCTC Vietnam) have jointly organized the opening ceremony of Terminal B-Tan Cang Cai Mep.

Terminal B – Tan Cang Cai Mep covers an area of 6.8 hectares at 10, Road 965, Cai Mep Industrial Park, Tan Phuoc Ward, Phu My Town, under the management, operation, and service organization of both Tan Cang Cai Mep Port and KCTC Vietnam.
In 2020, Tan Cang Cai Mep Port signed a cooperation agreement with KCTC Vietnam Limited Liability Company, and currently, the project has completed phase 1 and has been recognized by the General Department of Customs as a centralized location for the gathering, inspection, and monitoring of imported and exported goods on an area of 35,000 square meters and 4,000 square meters of external goods warehouses.
Identified as the “extended yard” of Tan Cang Cai Mep Port, Terminal B-Tan Cang Cai Mep has been put into operation to store imported containers that have been stored for a long time, temporary containers waiting for export and import ships, and to provide services such as empty container handling, cargo loading and unloading, and cargo inspection services. It aims to expand the storage capacity, share and reduce the risk of port congestion, ensure efficient vessel clearance, and provide the best quality services to customers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kim Yong Chul, the representative of the Korean Customs Attaché in Vietnam, congratulated the growing collaboration between the two companies.“KCTC Vietnam is expanding its development in the field of warehouse management, container services, and robust logistics to serve cargo at Cai Mep Port. The opening event of Terminal B-Tan Cang Cai Mep continues to reaffirm and strengthen the solid 30-year friendly relationship established between Vietnam and South Korea in diplomatic relations.
I believe that when Terminal B-Tan Cang Cai Mep becomes operational, it will facilitate more convenient import and export activities and contribute to the goal of achieving a trade volume of $100 billion between Vietnam and South Korea,” emphasized Mr. Kim Yong Chul.
The collaboration between Tan Cang Cai Mep Port and KCTC Vietnam will contribute to leveraging the strengths of both parties, optimizing benefits in expanding and upgrading infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of customers, not only in the Cai Mep region, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, but also in the overall key economic region in the South. It will play a significant role in the economic and social development and affirm the reputation and brand of Saigon Tan Cang in the logistics chain connection in the Southern region.
This is also a strategic goal aimed at “Expanding joint ventures and partnerships, enhancing service quality, and efficient business operations” pursued by Saigon Tan Cang Corporation.
